Beach Clean Up in Bali with Reef House Surf

To raise awareness of the reality of plastics in the sea, OVALL in conjunction with REEF HOUSE SURF in Canggu (Bali), regularly organizes beach clean up volunteer actions. In them, volunteers, guests and surfers of REEF HOUSE SURF, launch themselves to collect garbage from some of the most touristy beaches in Bali in order to make them a safe and livable place for all, further reinforcing the message of our participation as active agents in their conservation.

Cleaning the beach improves the coastal and oceanic ecosystem by removing from the circulation the residues that kill marine life or are toxic enough to interrupt the life cycle of their living beings. These actions allow OVALL to collect new data on the state of the coasts and the types of garbage that pollute them, since they allow us to identify the most harmful elements, and provide us with information to develop formulas that prevent them from returning to the ocean or that pollute again the beaches.
