Our bioplastics are made from non-food grade tapioca starch, a renewable and abundant resource with many formulations and applications.

INTERRA® is our grade of blowing film applicable for shopping bag, garbage bags, greenhouses, food packaging, etc. It is biologically based, compostable and lower than standard processing temperatures are used. Indicated to produce with the conventional LLDPE / LDPE blowing film machine.

VITERRA® is our injection grade bio-resin available in the form of granules for use in conventional injection molding equipment. Developed to process molded products, high impact drums and containers, boxes, buckets, etc. It is biologically based and uses lower processing temperatures than standard polymers.

Our INTERRA® and VITERRA® product range works in a wide range of applications such as injection molding and film blowing, being biodegradable and compostable materials.

Properties

Starch, being hydroscopic, can absorb moisture. Plasticizers are added to the starch to allow it to be thermoplastically processed by varying the amounts of additives and processes, and the characteristics of the material can be customized according to specific customer requirements. The result is a material with a low environmental impact, non-toxic to humans or the environment and that allows the manufacture of quality final products.
